Niestety stało się, Black Mesa nie zostanie wydana w 2009 roku, gdyż jeszcze stwierdzono że jest wiele rzeczy do dopracowania. Informacje zamieścił sam cman2k na oficjalnym forum.

Czyli świąt jak to ktoś zauważył nie będzie, a szkoda.
Nie zostaje nam obecnie nic innego jak grzecznie dalej poczekać na grę w nadziei, że ujrzy ona światło dzienne w pełnym blasku dopracowania i wgniecie nas w fotel jak to zrobił Half Life przed jedenastu laty.
